Trade In for Baxter

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours.

A test drive that lasts

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

What to check before you buy

A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.

Between cars

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one.
