Shopping for a car in Chenango

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours.

Try it for a week first

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve.

Questions to ask

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose.

While you shop

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.
