Trade In: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours. We do not buy cars or take trade-ins. If you would rather keep your car and have it earn, our owner program rents it out for you.

Why rent first

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

A buyer's checklist

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

While you shop

Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.
