Buying a car in Helm

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells.

Try it for a week first

Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class.

Buying smart in Ontario

Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.

Bridging the gap

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere.
