Trade In in Ithaca, NY

Trade In for Ithaca

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. We do not buy cars or take trade-ins. If you would rather keep your car and have it earn, our owner program rents it out for you. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours.

Rent it before you buy it

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

A buyer's checklist

Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

A car meanwhile

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip.
