Trade In in Jay

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells.

A test drive that lasts

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other.

Questions to ask

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

While you shop

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed.

Reach and distance

CarmaCars has no branch in Jay. We rent from one location in Toronto. Jay is about 1,583 km from our location, and our delivery area is about 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Jay? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Tell us what you are planning in Jay, and we will say what we can and cannot do. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
