Trade In: what CarmaCars does

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours. We do not buy cars or take trade-ins. If you would rather keep your car and have it earn, our owner program rents it out for you.

Try it for a week first

Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

A buyer's checklist

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up.

Between cars

There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one.
