Trade In for Murphy

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells.

Why rent first

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve.

What to check before you buy

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.

Bridging the gap

Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed.

Where CarmaCars works

We do not have a location in Murphy; CarmaCars works out of Toronto. Our delivery area ends about 250 km from Toronto, and Murphy is about 1,543 km out.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Murphy? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Tell us what you need in Murphy, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.

When you know your dates

Ask us anything about renting before you buy.
