Trade In: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. We do not buy cars or take trade-ins. If you would rather keep your car and have it earn, our owner program rents it out for you. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours.

A test drive that lasts

Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

Buying smart in Ontario

Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.

Bridging the gap

Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one.

CarmaCars and Putney

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Putney is outside our area. Putney is about 1,499 km from central Toronto in a straight line, beyond the 80 km we deliver to.

Shopping in Putney? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Putney if you like. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
