Trade In: what CarmaCars does
CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours. We do not buy cars or take trade-ins. If you would rather keep your car and have it earn, our owner program rents it out for you.
Why rent first
If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Our cars reach Simcoe County by delivery, or you collect one from us in Toronto for free.
A buyer's checklist
Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.
While you shop
A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week.
