Trade In in Taberna

If you are looking for a way to sell or trade your car, the honest answer first: CarmaCars does not offer it, but a rental can help along the way. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells.

A test drive that lasts

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

Checks worth doing

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

While you shop

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere.
