Buying a car in Tehachapi

Shopping for a car in Tehachapi? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells.

Rent it before you buy it

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Buying smart in Ontario

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car.

Between cars

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.
