Trade In in Tranquility

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells. We do not buy cars or take trade-ins. If you would rather keep your car and have it earn, our owner program rents it out for you.

Try it for a week first

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer.

A buyer's checklist

Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand.

Between cars

A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives.

Where we deliver

Tranquility is not an area we serve directly. CarmaCars is based in Toronto. The distance is about 603 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Tranquility? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Questions about Tranquility? Send a request and a person answers honestly. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
