Buying a car in Triangle

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells. We do not buy cars or take trade-ins. If you would rather keep your car and have it earn, our owner program rents it out for you.

Why rent first

A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

What to check before you buy

For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN.

A car meanwhile

There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.

Renting from Toronto

Our only location is in Toronto; Triangle is outside the area we serve. At about 2,948 km from our location in Toronto, Triangle is past the 250 km our delivery covers.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Send a request with what you need in Triangle, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Prices on this site are in Canadian dollars.
