Getting a car in Archer

Car Rental in Archer: CarmaCars is a Toronto company, so here is what we can and cannot do. In short: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. Nothing is charged until we confirm the car and the price and you approve.

Where we are

Our only location is in Toronto; Archer is outside the area we serve. Our delivery area ends about 250 km from Toronto, and Archer is about 2,017 km out.

What to expect

Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. A request is free and commits you to nothing. Each car has its own page with photos of that car, not a stock image of a category.

Typical renters

Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days. Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own.

Request, offer, keys

First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

What we need from you

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

One more step

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
