Why CarmaCars

You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Your bookings, receipts and agreements are in your account. Rates are before 13% HST, and the offer shows the tax too.

Who this suits

Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then. Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while.

Getting the car booked

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

What you need to rent

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.

One more step

A request takes a few minutes and puts a real offer in front of you.
