A note on distance

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Beaver is outside the area we serve. Beaver is about 1,020 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line, beyond the 250 km we deliver to.

If you are flying from Toronto to Beaver, we can help with a car on the Toronto side of the trip. Taking a car out of Ontario needs our written consent before the trip, so ask in your request. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Beaver if you like. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.

Common reasons to rent

People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice. Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days.

What is different here

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. Prices are shown car by car, and the offer lists every charge. The same team handles your request, your handover and your questions.

Booking in plain terms

First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.

Who qualifies

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
