Why this way of renting

What to bring

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

How booking works

First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.
