Who rents this way

Drivers who want to try a different kind of car for a week. Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then.

Why CarmaCars

Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. The offer is in writing, so you can check it before you agree. Requests are read in order and answered by a person.

What you need to rent

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

Booking, step by step

Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
