Good fits

Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then. Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while.

The useful parts

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser. You choose the exact car, not a category with "or similar".

How booking works

Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Before you rent

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

When you know your dates

If a car here fits, request it for your dates.
