What you get

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. You rent the car shown, with its own photos and price. The deposit is never taken when you book, only shortly before pickup.

The booking steps

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

Requirements

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
