Why CarmaCars

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Requests are read in order and answered by a person. You do not need to visit a branch: everything starts online.

Who this suits

Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while. People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy.

How it works

First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Before you rent

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.

Questions, dates or both: put them in a request and we answer.
