Typical renters

Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then. Anyone between a car sale and a car purchase.

Why this works

One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement, and the deposit carries over. A trip of 7 days or more never costs more than the car's monthly rate for up to 365 days. If plans change before you approve the offer, nothing is charged. The request is free, so you can ask without committing.

Driver requirements

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.

What happens when you ask for a car

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
