Why CarmaCars

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. You do not need to visit a branch: everything starts online. If the car you want is taken, we suggest the closest match we have.

When it makes sense

Drivers who want to try a different kind of car for a week. Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own.

What happens when you ask for a car

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.

Checking your details

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

Still deciding?

Find a car you like and ask for your dates.
