Rules for renters

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
