The details that matter
After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental when your adjuster approves it. Otherwise the car's own rate applies. Requests are read in order and answered by a person. Every booking has a signed agreement in your account.
Requesting a car
Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
Rules for renters
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.
For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
