Why CarmaCars

A car to drive matters most when yours is in the shop; we bring it to you. If the claim is not approved, the car's usual rate applies, shown on its page. Your offer lists every charge, so the price you approve is the price you pay. The offer is in writing, so you can check it before you agree.

Typical renters

People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy. Drivers who want to try a different kind of car for a week.

Who can rent

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.

From your dates to the handover

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Ready when you are

A request takes a few minutes and puts a real offer in front of you.
