What to expect

If the claim is not approved, the car's usual rate applies, shown on its page. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental when your adjuster approves it. Otherwise the car's own rate applies. Every booking has a signed agreement in your account. The request is free, so you can ask without committing.

When it makes sense

Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then. Anyone between a car sale and a car purchase.

Renting: the basics

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

Requesting a car

A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Your move

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
