Collision Replacement Car: Ruby

If you need a car while yours is off the road in Ruby, read this first: CarmaCars works from Toronto. In short: A car while yours is repaired after a collision, billed to your insurer when your adjuster approves it. You choose the car online, send a request without paying, and a person sends you the full price.

Where we deliver

CarmaCars is not in Ruby. Our one location is in Toronto. By straight line Ruby is about 3,121 km from central Toronto; by road it is farther, and beyond our 80 km delivery area.

Back from Ruby and landing at Toronto Pearson? We can meet you there with a car. Driving out of Ontario is possible only with our written consent, given before the trip. Send a request with what you need in Ruby, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.

Why people choose us

If the claim is not approved, the car's usual rate applies, shown on its page. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental when your adjuster approves it. Otherwise the car's own rate applies. Every booking has a signed agreement in your account. You choose the exact car, not a category with "or similar".

Who rents this way

People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy. People waiting on a repair, a claim or a car purchase rent until theirs is back.

Who qualifies

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

Requesting a car

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.

Talk to a person

The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.
