Who rents this way

People with family in town who need a second car for a while. Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days.

What makes this simple

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. Each car has its own page with photos of that car, not a stock image of a category. If the car you want is taken, we suggest the closest match we have.

Before pickup

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

How booking works

Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
