Cross Border Car Rental in Java: CarmaCars is a Toronto company, so here is what we can and cannot do. In short: Taking a car out of Ontario, the United States included, needs our written consent before the trip. Ask in your request: without that consent, cross-border trips are not allowed. Where we are

CarmaCars works from one location in Toronto and does not operate in Java. By straight line Java is about 1,933 km from our location in Toronto; by road it is farther, and beyond our 250 km delivery area.

If you are flying from Toronto to Java, we can help with a car on the Toronto side of the trip. Driving out of Ontario is possible only with our written consent, given before the trip. A request about Java gets an honest answer from a person. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.

Why rent with us in Java

Trips outside Ontario need our written consent. Ask in your request. Each car shows the kilometres included and the rate for extra ones, so you can price the trip ahead. Rates are set per car, so you can choose by budget. Requests are read in order and answered by a person.

Driver requirements

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

From request to keys

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.
