Why CarmaCars

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. The request is free, so you can ask without committing. A person reads each request and answers it, by email and in your account.

Licence, age and card

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

Booking, step by step

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
