This page is for Dover, but CarmaCars rents from Toronto. Here is the plain answer. For this kind of rental: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. Each car lists its rates for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month.

When it makes sense

People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy. Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own.

The details that matter

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. The deposit is never taken when you book, only shortly before pickup. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser.

What we ask of drivers

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

From your dates to the handover

You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Make a request

Not sure which car? Describe the trip in your request and we will suggest one.
