Car Rental in Durham

This page is for Durham, but CarmaCars rents from Toronto. Here is the plain answer. What this means: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. Prices are before 13% HST, and your offer shows the total before you pay.

Honest about distance

CarmaCars is not in Durham. Our one location is in Toronto. Durham lies about 1,851 km from our location in Toronto, well beyond our 250 km delivery area.

Our cars stay around Toronto, so for Durham we can only help with the Toronto part of your travel. A trip from Ontario to Durham needs our written consent before you leave. Why CarmaCars

You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. The deposit is never taken when you book, only shortly before pickup. You see the price before you pay, and a person confirms every booking.

Who it is for

Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days. Anyone who needs a car for a few days without owning one.

Your request, our offer, your keys

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

What we need from you

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
