Elwin: renting made simple

CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area. This page explains what that means if you need a rental car in Elwin. Good to know: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. All prices are before tax; the offer shows the total.

Where we work

CarmaCars works from one location in Toronto and does not operate in Elwin. Elwin lies about 905 km from central Toronto, well outside our delivery area of about 80 km.

Most trips to Elwin start with a flight; if yours starts in Toronto, we can cover the car at this end. A border crossing needs our written consent in advance; ask in your request. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Elwin if you like. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.

Why rent with us in Elwin

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. The offer is in writing, so you can check it before you agree. If plans change before you approve the offer, nothing is charged.

Good fits

Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while. People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy.

The steps

It begins with your request, sent online in a few minutes, with no payment. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

What we check

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
