The short answer for Emerald

CarmaCars works from Toronto. There is no CarmaCars branch in Emerald. Our deliveries stop at about 250 km from Toronto; Emerald is roughly 1,457 km away.

For Emerald itself, look for a local rental company; for the Toronto end of the trip, we can help. Because Emerald is outside Ontario, the trip needs our written consent first. Questions about Emerald? Send a request and a person answers honestly. Prices on this site are in Canadian dollars.

Why CarmaCars

You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. The deposit is never taken when you book, only shortly before pickup. If plans change before you approve the offer, nothing is charged.

When it makes sense

Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days. Anyone who needs a car for a few days without owning one.

Checking your details

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

Booking with CarmaCars

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
