This page is for Flag Spring, but CarmaCars rents from Toronto. Here is the plain answer. Here is the short version: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. The offer shows the full price before you pay anything.

Reasons people rent from us

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. A person reads each request and answers it, by email and in your account. A request is free and commits you to nothing.

When it makes sense

People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice. Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then.

The rules, briefly

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

Your request, our offer, your keys

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
