Car Rental in Foothills, AB

Car Rental in Foothills, explained

CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area. This page explains what that means if you need a rental car in Foothills. Here is the short version: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. The deposit is never taken at booking, only shortly before pickup.

Before you plan around us

We have one location, in Toronto, and none in Foothills. We cover about 250 km around Toronto; at about 2,916 km, Foothills is outside that.

Most trips to Foothills start with a flight; if yours starts in Toronto, we can cover the car at this end. Tell us in your request that you plan to drive outside Ontario; it needs our written consent. Tell us what you need in Foothills, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Why this works

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. You do not need to visit a branch: everything starts online. You rent the car shown, with its own photos and price.

When it makes sense

Anyone between a car sale and a car purchase. Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days.

Foothills and nearby

Around Foothills you will also find Coal Valley, Sterco and Lovettville.

Edson Airport (YET) is the closest airport, about 61 km from Foothills.

Rules for renters

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

Booking, step by step

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

Your move

When you have your dates, send a request. It is free, and the offer shows the full price.
