Why CarmaCars

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. You choose the exact car, not a category with "or similar". The request is free, so you can ask without committing.

Typical renters

People with family in town who need a second car for a while. Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days.

Driver requirements

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

What to expect when you book

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
