What is different here
Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser. A request is free and commits you to nothing.
Who it is for
People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy. Anyone who needs a car for a few days without owning one.
Booking in plain terms
Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.
The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.
Who qualifies
You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
