How renting works in Harvard

CarmaCars is a rental company in Toronto. For Harvard, our help starts there. In short: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. Each car lists its rates for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month.

Where we deliver

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Harvard is outside the area we serve. We do not deliver as far as Harvard, about 3,330 km from our location in Toronto.

Our cars stay around Toronto, so for Harvard we can only help with the Toronto part of your travel. Crossing the border with a rental from us needs our written consent before the trip. Why people choose us

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. You choose the exact car, not a category with "or similar". Questions are answered by people who know the cars.

When it makes sense

Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own. Anyone who needs a car for a few days without owning one.

What we check

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

Requesting a car

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

Over to you

If a car here fits, request it for your dates.
