What is different here

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Rent by the day, by the week, or up to 365 days at a time. You see the price before you pay, and a person confirms every booking.

Getting the car booked

A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

Renting: the basics

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
