Renting in Jackrabbit

CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area. This page explains what that means if you need a rental car in Jackrabbit. One thing to know: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. Prices are before 13% HST, and your offer shows the total before you pay.

Before you plan around us

We have one location, in Toronto, and none in Jackrabbit. Our deliveries stop at about 250 km from Toronto; Jackrabbit is roughly 2,832 km away.

For Jackrabbit itself, look for a local rental company; for the Toronto end of the trip, we can help. Trips outside Ontario need our written consent. Mention the route in your request. If you are unsure whether we can help with Jackrabbit, ask; we answer plainly. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.

What to expect

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. Your bookings, receipts and agreements are in your account. Rates are set per car, so you can choose by budget.

Who rents this way

People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy. Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own.

Rules for renters

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

Booking in plain terms

The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.
