The details that matter

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. We answer questions before you book, not only after. A request is free and commits you to nothing.

Who this suits

Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then. People with family in town who need a second car for a while.

Requesting a car

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. You pay only once you approve the offer.

You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

What to have ready

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
