Why CarmaCars

A car to drive matters most when yours is in the shop; we bring it to you. Rent by the day or the week while yours is repaired, and stop when it is ready. You can rent again later with the same account and details. A person reads each request and answers it, by email and in your account.

When it makes sense

Anyone between a car sale and a car purchase. Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then.

Before pickup

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

The booking steps

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
