Luup Alternative for Rideshare Drivers for Devane Acres

CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area. This page explains what that means if you need a rental car in Devane Acres. The key point: A car for Uber, Lyft or delivery work, rented from CarmaCars directly. Tell us when you book. Weekly and monthly rates first: trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and one booking runs up to 365 days and renews. Luup, Uber and Lyft are named only to describe what you compared and the work; CarmaCars is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by any of them. There is no instant booking: every request is read by a person.

The useful parts

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. A person reads each request and answers it, by email and in your account. A request is free and commits you to nothing.

The booking steps

Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.

Driver requirements

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

Over to you

Ready? Request the car. If you change your mind before approving the offer, nothing is charged.
