Luup Alternative for Rideshare Drivers in Devon, NS

A car for Devon

CarmaCars is a rental company in Toronto. For Devon, our help starts there. Good to know: A car for Uber, Lyft or delivery work, rented from CarmaCars directly. Tell us when you book. Weekly and monthly rates first: trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and one booking runs up to 365 days and renews. Luup, Uber and Lyft are named only to describe what you compared and the work; CarmaCars is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by any of them. The deposit is never taken at booking, only shortly before pickup.

Before you plan around us

We have one location, in Toronto, and none in Devon. About 1,267 km in a straight line separate Devon from our location in Toronto; our delivery stops at about 250 km.

Heading to Devon by plane? A car from us can get you to Toronto Pearson, or meet you there when you return. A trip from Ontario to Devon needs our written consent before you leave. If you need a car in Devon itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Good fits

People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice. People with family in town who need a second car for a while.

Reasons people rent from us

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Rates are set per car, so you can choose by budget. Your offer lists every charge, so the price you approve is the price you pay.

If you are near Devon, Antrim, Oldham and Goffs are close too.

The nearest airport is Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ), about 10 km away.

Getting the car booked

Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Renting: the basics

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
