Luup Alternative for Rideshare Drivers in Unity, MD

Your rental in Unity

CarmaCars is a rental company in Toronto. For Unity, our help starts there. In short: A car for Uber, Lyft or delivery work, rented from CarmaCars directly. Tell us when you book. Weekly and monthly rates first: trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and one booking runs up to 365 days and renews. Luup, Uber and Lyft are named only to describe what you compared and the work; CarmaCars is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by any of them. Each car page shows what is included, what is extra and the deposit.

What you get

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. A person reads each request and answers it, by email and in your account. You rent the car shown, with its own photos and price.

Booking in plain terms

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. Next comes our offer, with the confirmed car and every charge on one page. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.

Licence, age and card

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
