The details that matter

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser. The request is free, so you can ask without committing.

Checking your details

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

The steps

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
