Why this works

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Rates are before 13% HST, and the offer shows the tax too. We answer questions before you book, not only after.

When it makes sense

Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days. Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while.

Your booking, in three steps

Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Renting: the basics

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
